West African Drumming (Level 1) Classes Program

Ages: 6+
Schedule: Saturdays, 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Overview:

Hands-on introduction to the djembe and foundational drumming patterns. Students learn timing, ensemble playing, and the communal spirit of West African rhythms.

What You’ll Learn:

• Basic hand techniques (tone, bass, slap)

• Fundamental (Malinke) rhythms 

• Group drumming etiquette and listening skills

Program Fees:

• Drum Class Regular: $85/month ($21.25/class)

• Monthly Program Fee: $25 (includes Afiwi T-shirt)

• End of Year showcase package: $40.00 ( includes insurance and video of link of showcase)​

• Multi-Class Discount: 5% discount when enrolled in more than one dance  class
