About the event
YEBO BOYZ: Saying YES to Black Boys, Their Culture, Confidence & Future
A free 13-session Saturday program for Black boys in Pickering.
At Afiwi Groove School, we believe every Black boy deserves to feel seen, valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
YEBO BOYZ is a free cultural arts, wellness, mentorship, and leadership program using African and Caribbean dance, movement, meaningful conversations, and positive mentorship to help participants build confidence, strengthen friendships, explore their cultural identity, and develop leadership skills.
“YEBO” means “YES” in Zulu. Through this program, we are saying YES to Black boys, YES to their creativity, YES to their culture, YES to their wellness, and YES to their limitless potential.
